Having enjoyed drawing and painting from a young age, Shefali continues to carve out the practice of art amidst daily life. She is based in Chicago IL, and is inspired by the energy and juxtapositions of the cityscape. She prefers the fluidity that the watercolor medium brings, as well as the immersive experience of painting en plein air. In her art, she seeks for the viewer to feel that they are there in the place itself.
She is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Chicago, Illinois Watercolor Society, and Urban Sketchers Chicago. By profession, Shefali works as a market researcher. If you would like to contact Shefali about a painting, a commission, or have any questions, please email her at shefalikhanna312@gmail.com.
